This course helps children to become mindful by learning how to recognize when they are feeling stress, both physically and mentally. Using a child-friendly format, they will learn how to calm the body and mind with several different breathing techniques and muscle relaxation exercises. Simple, self-help techniques to help a child fall asleep when they are worried or stressed will also be taught.
As a mother of 4 children, I know life can be quite stressful at times! I am proud to offer these Stress Management/Mindfulness courses to my community after having taught these life saving courses at Jersey Shore University Medical Center for 10 years. With a BS in Public Health Education, a Holistic Life Wellness Consultant Certification from AAAI/ISMA, and my WITS certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Specialist certification from AASDN, I am well versed in health and wellness. I also own my own small business, Onsite Nutrition Coaching. My family and I use the stress management techniques that will be taught in these courses and we all agree they are quite effective not only for stress management, but for dealing with whatever life may throw your way.
